Hikari No Senshi (GG)

The guild was created in November 2003 in the game world of Final Fantasy XI. It's origins rooted in character progression via community assistance it grew slowly to adhere to it's core ideals. The core members manifested themselves as the months progress and around March of 2004 a solid bond had formed amongst these key individuals. The linkpearl lasted till November 2004 and with the release of World of Warcraft most of the US based members moved on to start anew in this highly anticipated MMO release. To this day the guild still has a community presence in World of Warcraft establishing a home on the US Lothar Server.

The guild's network has grown and many new friendships have been created. As the guild matures and experiences new games and genre's outside of the traditional MMO context it continues to expand its network progressively beyond the virtual realms of the game worlds.

Hikari No Senshi is the romanji characterization of "Warriors of (the) Light". This was sourced from an earlier band of adventuring characters depicted in an earlier title release of the Final Fantasy series. The name for this band of characters is also being recently resurrected with a new DS title release "Hikari No 4 Senshi: Final Fantasy Gaiden" (JPN). I found the name to be fitting as it depicts a band of adventuring MMORPG friends and family on the internet in which the common method of information transmission is done by traveling light ... the cheesy geek in me comes out every so often to skew the perceptions of reality.

So that said we have found new companions, lost old companions, and rekindled friendships with long once lost adventurers. We forge ahead with what has manifested within this community and look to see what the future has in store for the mild mannered, well mostly, band of adventuring Hikari No Senshi brothers and sisters.
